Glowing Skin, Hair & Energy with Ginkgo-Infused MCT Oil
Ginkgo Biloba is an ancient tree with amazing longevity, up to 3,000 years. Its molecular mechanisms give it an ‘immunity to ageing’ quality of life, although each year its leaves will fall. These leathery leaves are quite bitter, as are all the memory enhancing herbs, and it’s through the leaves that we can tap into some of the ginkgo’s health virtues.
‘Health’ ah, such a simple word but a complex balancing act with nutrition, exercise, sleep and skin care each playing their part. Our Ginkgo-Infused MCT Oil may seem simple, but let’s check it out…

Digging Deeper
1. Anti-Aging & Antioxidant Protection
Ginkgo biloba is rich in flavonoids and terpenoids, which help neutralize free radicals that cause premature aging. This can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, keeping the skin youthful.
2. Boosts Circulation & Brightens Skin
Ginkgo is known to improve microcirculation, which enhances oxygen and nutrient delivery to the skin. This helps achieve a healthy, glowing complexion and reduce dullness.
3. Anti-Inflammatory & Soothing
Ginkgo has anti-inflammatory properties, making it great for soothing rashes, redness, irritation, and conditions like eczema or rosacea. MCT oil also has a calming effect, helping to repair the skin barrier.
4. Hydration & Moisture Retention
MCT oil is an excellent emollient, sealing in moisture without feeling heavy or greasy. This combination is ideal for dry, sensitive, or mature skin types. Infusion with Ginkgo does make it a little richer, but you can still apply to skin before bedtime and tuck in without feeling sticky. Nice.
5. Helps with Acne & Breakouts
Ginkgo has natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which may help combat acne-causing bacteria. MCT oil contains caprylic and capric acid, known for their antimicrobial benefits.
6. Protects Against Environmental Stressors
The antioxidants in ginkgo help shield skin from pollution, UV rays, and oxidative stress, reducing long-term damage.

How to Use with Food & Drink
- Add 2 - 4 drops to your beverage of choice (up to 1 teaspoon max to start.)
- Add a few drops to meals or salad dressings.
Caution:
- Avoid consuming on an empty stomach if you have a sensitive digestive system.
- Herbs contain complex active botanical compounds and even too much of a good thing can become negative, so don’t overdo it.
- If you are on blood thinners, have low blood pressure, or are pregnant, remember that ginkgo is a natural circulation stimulant, so best used on your skin, but not consumed.
DIY: How to Make an Oil Infusion
- Add ½ cup dried ginkgo leaves to a sealable glass jar.
- Pour 1 cup MCT oil over the dried leaves, ensuring they’re completely submerged.
- Seal and store in a cool, dark place for 4-6 weeks, shaking daily.
- If placed on a window in warm sunshine, the infusion is a bit quicker 3-4 weeks.
- Strain and transfer to a sterilized bottle.
NOTE: Ginkgo leaves are leathery and slow to dry. In very hot weather place them inside a pillow case and peg on the line to dry over 3 or so days, shake up daily. If you have a food dehydrator, use low heat for 24 hours, rotate trays 1- 2 times until the leaves are fully dried.
