The Skyezone Story

Jennifer Elwin established Skyezone in the year 2000, she holds a Diploma in Formulation Chemistry, a Diploma in Teaching, and a Bachelor of Education.
"You will find me most days in an apron making batches or in welly boots amongst the herbs, or possibly on the computer researching a new formulation. Herbs are a pleasure to work with, and customer feedback and research both keep me inspired, thank you!"
- Jennifer

The Skyezone Timeline...
In 2000, Skyezone in fact began in Strathalbyn SA, on Phyllis Osmond farm, (Jennifer's mother)
Phyllis Osmond use of herbs and botanical knowledge led Jennifer to research pepper berry - Schinus molle. This versatile and medicinally beneficial plant became instrumental in the development of the unique and ever growing Skyezone range.
In 2002 Jennifer began cultivating herb beds at home in Kensington Park. This led to transforming the entire neighborhood common space into a vibrant, productive and delightful streetscape.
In 2004 Jennifer began distilling herbs for her own essential oil creations. The sheer potency and purity of the oils was captivating! This and led to a whole new formulation process and dramatically expanded the Skyezone range.
In 2019 Jennifer completed her year long study to obtain her Diploma in Formulation Chemistry, helping to consolidate and expand upon the first 19 years of product development.
"For me the initial focus in developing a product lies in its medicinal benefits, then texture & scent factors. Balancing these considerations requires formulation chemistry to create products designed to enhance a person's health & wellbeing."
-Jennifer
2022 - Skyezone continues to research the chemical properties of plant extracts and natural ingredients for sustainable skin care and more...
Nothing happens in life without the input of those around you. So a very special thanks to Christie & Mark for their technical skills, input, suggestions, and being willing testers & users of my products. Especially to John for s supporting me in turning our home into a lab! Helping harvest schinus molle, calendula etc., and cutting every leaf label by hand!
