Contents and Benefits

Honey & Honeycomb & Beeswax
Sourced from local apiarists all bee products used are organic and untreated by any commercial practices.
Horehound Marrubium vulgare
The leaf is brewed for 20 mins then steeped overnight with the addition of lemon verbena & Basil. The next day the leaves are separated and the brew made into toffee. Once hard crack is reached, peppermint essential oil is added, stirred then poured. Yes it's an eye streaming process when pouring and cutting the toffee! (goggles help)
Icing sugar
Added only after weighing and used sparingly to prevent the toffee sticking together.
Lemon Verbena
Included when available, to enhance flavour and bring additional medicinal values to the toffee, especially when you have a cold.
Peppermint
Improves taste and helps ease any sinus congestion and nausea.
Perennial Basil
Regarded as a strong anti-bacterial-anti-viral this wonderful herb also imparts a delightful fragrance and added taste.

Storage
All products containing essential oils should be stored out of direct sunlight and below < 30deg C. If storing for several weeks or months, store in a cool dark area or refrigerate.
Test First
For all new products applied to your skin, please ensure you check for sensitivity with a patch test on your wrist or forearm, before applying the product to other parts of your body. If you have sensitive skin it's even more important to take this precaution.

My father & I enjoy this toffee but also my grandchildren have found it helpful to relieve car sickness and reduce hay fever. I prefer the hard version but my little grandson likes the fudge. With thanks

I am keen to purchase three bags of the Horehound Toffee, they have been fantastic for my children when suffering from sore throats. I am keen to stock up beforeHi, I am an Asthma sufferer. I develop an asthma related cough which starts with a tickle in the throat then produces a lot of phlegm and I can end up vomiting. In my line of work I visit people in their homes. In these varied environments you cannot control the trigger to asthma. When I develop this cough I find that taking a Horehound toffee stops the symptoms almost immediately.
