Skin Massage

1. Tips: Managing Your Skin Care

Massage & Confidence

Top to toe, our skin loves massage to exfoliate dead skin cells, but also to increase blood flow and stimulate the lymphatic system, which helps remove toxins. As increased blood flow aids collagen production, regular facial massage greatly assists a healthy complexion. This process does not have to be heavy -handed or prolonged, but rather a regular part of your routine to ensure improved skin appearance by tightening pores and brightening skin glow.

Try using a slightly rough exfoliation cloth for your face and neck and a rougher shower glove for the rest of your body. Massage your face and neck gently in circular motions all over. Repeat this once per day. You can be firmer on the rest of your body and focus on any rough, cellulite, or crepe skin areas. Using a Face and Body Scrub certainly speeds up result. The effect of this kind of consistent massage on wrinkles and crepe skin is stunning. Give yourself time to achieve results. Set reasonable goals in months and years not weeks.

The boost to confidence when your skin glows is obvious to anyone around you. Harness this with good posture: shoulders back, tummy in, chin up and feel your confidence rise. It's a simple routine that achieves great results.

2. Clinical Efficacy: Botanicals under the science microscope

Schinus molle

This ‘pepper berry’ tree from Peru, grows well in South Australia having been introduced by early settlers to help mark property holdings as it was distinctive and useful. Fortunately, it was planted throughout our parklands, and after researching its fantastic medicinal properties in 2004 I’ve been distilling its oil rich berries for my skincare products ever since. (Currently crush & distil 50kg per year to produce enough of the pure essential oil.)

Many traditional folklore medicinal uses have now been supported by chemical composition research – as documented in PubMed, and by it’s bio functional cosmetic skin application, as in clinical trials by Vincience / Ashland in 2019.
So why is Schinus molle exciting?

Its wide array of bioactive compounds include phenols which provide antioxidant, antibacterial, anti ageing, antifungal and many other properties. But let’s focus on skin applications as per clinical tests where its bioavailable polyphenols (Quercitrin and Miquelianin) demonstrated strong activity to visibly improve skin clarity, elasticity, and hydration and to reduce redness, dullness, and the appearance of wrinkles.

Its flavonoids demonstrated strong antioxidant benefits, which can help improve skin appearance.

There is so much more to tell you but in brief the research has truly supported the use of Schinus molle in my skin care products. Some of its highest concentrations are found in the Night Face & Eye Cream, Hand Repair, Eve Thrush Guard, Cleopatra Cleanser, and several more, each benefiting from the diverse properties of Schinus molle!

3. Consumer Concerns: Recycling
The Skyezone containers are intended to be durable and reusable for the buyer or passed to someone else who can use them. Those who can pick up orders may receive this Product Recycle Bag to store empties. When containers are returned to Skyezone they must pass 3 tests to come back into use:

  • Scratch
  • Functionality
  • Sterilization

Sounds easy but takes considerable time. However, given that our planets resources are being stretched to the max, we must all do our bit to reduce landfill and material waste, and improve our recycling & sustainability habits. Every bit helps!
